Alkivio and Alessi: a collaboration for the future of sustainable design
Following the initial significant milestones of Alkivio, the startup launched by Novacart and the Italian Institute of Technology announces a new collaboration with a leading company in Italian design: Alessi.

The collaboration with the renowned company aims to create more sustainable everyday objects through the use of the innovative material Alkipaper®, a biocomposite made by Alkivio from Novacart's paper processing waste.
Starting in autumn 2024, some iconic items in the Alessi range will be replaced in their plastic parts with Alkipaper®, which, thanks to its characteristics and mechanical properties, can faithfully reproduce the typical appearance and qualities of plastic.
