Irish GuinnesS Cupcakes – the recipe for St. Patrick’s Day

Despite the unusual combination, the Guinness gives a subtle malty flavour that complements the chocolate very well.
Here’s the full recipe to bake these mouth-watering chocolate and Guiness cupcakes with sugar icing on top!Ingredients for chocolate cupcakes:
- All-purpose flour
- Unsweetened cocoa powder
- Chocolate chips
- Yogurt
- Baking soda
- Baking powder
- Salt
- Granulated sugar
- Eggs
- Butter
- Guinness stout
Ingredients for sugar frosting:
- Powdered sugar
- Butter, softened
- Vanilla
- Milk
Preparation for the batter:
- Begin by making the Guinness chocolate mixture: simmer beer and butter until melted. Then, add the cocoa powder and chocolate chips, stirring until smooth. Set aside to cool.
- While the mixture Is cooling, combine the dry ingredients (flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and a pinch of salt) together in a bowl, and set aside.
- Whisk eggs and yogurt together until well combined and add the cooled down chocolate and Guinness mixture.
- To make the batter, add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix well. Transfer the batter to the baking molds and bake at 180°C for approximately 15 to 18 minutes.
Preparation for the sugar frosting:
- In a bowl, mix the powdered sugar with the softened butter using a spoon or electric mixer, then add the vanilla extract.
- Gradually beat in the milk to smooth out the frosting until you reach the desired consistency.
Once you have both the cupcakes and the frosting ready, begin decorating the cupcakes to your liking.
Sprinkle on some green-colored sprinkles and enjoy your Irish Guinness Cupcake.
